Adventuring out and about

Cruise on Sea Escape Too: Talk to Les and see what he has available.

Relax and explore on the rocks: We have an ocean side deck with stares that take you to the rocky shore.  You can sit and relax or explore under rocks at low tide. The more adventurous can hop in for a swim. One of our favorite day adventures is a long bouldering walk around the whole island.

Launch your own boat: 3 boat launches are close by. Throw your own kayak on top your car or hook up your tailored boat before you come to be able to get on the water on your own time.

Go fishing: Bring your own boat and tackle or hire a guide to take you. Go for Striped Bass, Blue Fish, Atlantic Mackerel, Atlantic Cod, and Haddock, just don’t catch any Atlantic Salmon.

Sail on Tevake: Talk to Bethany or Perry and arrange a time that works best for you.

Have a lobster bake: Get fresh lobster from a dock and cook them at home. Ask Les for tips on where to get Lobster and how to cook them. Donna and Les have been known to do  a big lobster and clam bake from time to time for guests that are interested in joining them.

The game room: It is like another living room for everyone to use. There is a coin operated washer and dryer and a bunch of movies, board games, a few books, and some brochures from our area. The garage is attached to it and Les can often be found there.

Sleep in: What more can I say, get up when you want, it’s your vacation.

Read books: Bring along that best seller that has been sitting on the night stand for three months.

Watch movies: Donna has had fun growing a video library in the game room. There is a VCR in the cottage and a VCR/DVD player in the game room. Find a movie to bring to your cottage or hang out and see if anyone swings in.

Staying Close to Home Base

Watch the sunset around the fire pit: Sunset at Sea Escape Cottages is really something special. The west facing view offers a big sky to fill with some amazing colors.  This a great time of day to unwind and meet some of  the other guests.

Have a family reunion: Bring together children, cousins, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, aunts, and uncles with out having to host them all at your house. Coordinate your vacation time and everyone can have there own cottage to stay in and a big front yard to share.

Bird Watching: Osprey, sea gulls, bald eagles, cormorants, chickadees, old squaw ducks, guillemots, eider ducks, great blue herons, egrets, Canada geese, plovers, pipers, cardinals, mocking birds, cat birds, starlings, orioles, even wild turkeys. We are on the migratory path of finches in the spring and fall. The McNelly Ladies watch birds. If you want to see Puffins, we know a couple of boats that can take you to see them.

Get married: Sea Escape Cottages has hosted weddings since 1997. The gazebo is a first choice for ceremonies and there is lots of room for an outdoor reception. With places
